In my mind, there’s no reason to use cloth diapers with disposable wipes. Flannel wipes are much sturdier than disposables and require fewer per job. Not only that, but they are easy to throw into the laundry with the cloth diapers and don’t require any special upkeep.
Use
These cloth baby wipes are a reusable option to use instead of disposable wipes. In a pinch, these can be used to wipe up spills, to clean up a random spit up incident, or to use anytime you might need a towel and you don’t have one. For storage, I take a handful, soak them with water, then squeeze them until they are no longer dripping. I then store them in a crayon box from the dollar store. Then, I either throw that in the diaper bag to take with me on the go, or I just pack a few dry ones and wet them as needed.
Care
Cloth wipes are the easiest thing to add to the cloth diaper laundry, since you can just toss them in and launder them with the rest of the diapers.
Design options
These can be made out of any color or design of flannel available. I like using dark tan since it hides the messes, although any type of brown or a dark color with a design would be a good option. I would generally advise against light colors, since that will be show every stain or imperfection.
