Baby neck pillow

Baby neck pillow

in

This neck pillow came about after seeing my tiny daughter sleeping in her car seat. The angle of her head was so awkward, so I wanted to find a way to keep her upright as she slept. I researched many different styles, and this one seemed the simplest and least complicated. Since it was soft and pliable, I was able to slide it behind her little head and keep her where she needed to be.

Use

Although I originally made this for my newborn daughter to use in the car seat, it worked well for the swing she had, as well. In both cases, this baby neck pillow kept her little head upright before her neck was able to. Even after she was able to keep her neck upright, I would slip this on her if she fell asleep in the car, even well after she was 9 months old. I would suggest only using this when the baby is in view.

Care

This can be thrown in the laundry with pretty much anything else. This pillow doesn’t really require any special care and washing it will bring it back to its original shape.

Design options

This pillow can come in many shapes, sizes, and colors, as well as fabric choices. To keep it simple, I went with a gray jersey knit. This fabric is soft yet durable, and allows for flexibility. I like gray because it is neutral and blends in to pretty much any color pallet. This size works from the newborn stage up to 1 year old.
